Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens to information when you read this website. It is written for a site that does almost nothing with data, and it says so plainly rather than listing practices we do not have.

1. Who publishes this site

This site is an independent guide to Waliya Bet Ethiopia, written and maintained by its publisher. We are not Waliya Bet, not Waliya Sport, and not the Ethiopian Lottery Service. The bookmaker's own site is waliyabet.et and its privacy practices are its own. Questions about this page go to team@waliyabetethiopia.com.

2. What kind of site this is

Every page here is a static document. There is no account to open, no login, no comment box, no newsletter, no search field and no contact form. Nothing on this site asks you to type anything, so there is no submitted data for us to store.

3. What we do not collect

• Your name, phone number or email address.
• Any betting account details, balances or stake history.
• Any payment or card information. We never handle money.
• Any identity documents.
• Any profile built to target advertising at you.

If a page ever appears to ask you for these, treat it as a copy of this site and do not enter anything.

4. What is recorded automatically

Serving a web page produces technical records that we cannot avoid. Our web server keeps an access log, and Cloudflare, which delivers this site and filters hostile traffic, keeps its own records on our behalf.

• IP address — in truncated or full form, depending on the layer.
• Date and time of the request and the page path requested.
• Browser and operating system string sent by your device.
• Referring address, when your browser sends one.

These records exist to keep the site online, diagnose faults and block scrapers and automated abuse. They are not used to identify you as a person and are not sold.

5. Cookies, storage and measurement

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking pixel. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie to tell human visitors from bots and to apply its security rules; that cookie carries no profile of you. Your browser's own cache is controlled by you, not by us.

6. Links that leave this site

Buttons such as Log In and Register send you to the operator or to an affiliate tracking address. From the moment you leave, you are on someone else's site under someone else's privacy policy, and this page no longer applies. A tracking link may record that the visit came from here. Read the receiving site's policy before you hand over any detail.

7. Why we are allowed to process this

For readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the lawful basis under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR is legitimate interest: keeping a website available, secure and free of automated abuse. We rely on consent only where a law requires it for a specific non-essential cookie, and at present we set none.

8. How long records are kept

Server access logs rotate on a short cycle measured in weeks, then are deleted. Security records held by Cloudflare follow that provider's own retention schedule. We keep no separate archive of visitors, because there is no visitor database to archive.

9. Your rights in the EEA and the UK

You may ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, ask for deletion, ask us to restrict or stop processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to team@waliyabetethiopia.com. Be aware of a practical limit: a bare IP address in a rotating log usually cannot be matched to you without information only you can supply, so a request may need details from you before it can be answered. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

10. Your rights in California

Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you may ask what categories of personal information were collected, ask for deletion and ask for correction. The only category that applies here is internet and network activity in the technical sense described in section 4. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for a Do Not Sell request to switch off. Exercising any of these rights will not get you worse service, because the pages are identical for everybody.

11. Age limit and young readers

This site discusses sports betting and is intended for adults aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, write to the address above and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this page, and who to contact

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than applied quietly. For any privacy question, or to exercise a right listed above, write to team@waliyabetethiopia.com.
